Hi!

I have installed vlc on a laptop running ubuntu/amd64 9.04. I've added my music directory to the 'Media Library' category in the playlist. When I try to type something in the search field at the bottom, vlc crashes/shuts down without further notice.

I've tried to purge (uninstall and remove all configuration files) and then install it again, but it does not make any difference..

What to do?

Anybody knows? It is so frustrating when it shuts down, and I don't have a clue what to do

Update to VLC 1.0 and make sure you are NOT using Qt4 version 4.5.0 which is utterly buggy.

Then... how do I change from qt? I've browsed google for a while, but cannot find out..
