I'm listening to an interview on mp3. Is it possible to increase the playback speed WITHOUT having the voices sound like chipmunks (high-pitched)?

Great! Thanks j-b. You're right. Um, I glanced at the VLC 1.0.1 changelog but I don't see this new feature. Could you point it out to me, please?

VLC 1.0.x has autotempo by default.
