WMP Streams this fine: anyone know why VLC won't?

I've tried this with VLC 0.80 and 0.70 on both XP and Mac OS X and am still getting the same problem.
This URL works in WMP, but when I tried to open this stream in VLC, nothing happens - sorry for the huge log output, but I have no idea how to separate the wheat from the chaff apropos the messages VLC gave me. Errors are in red, warnings in blue, and things that I found interesting or odd (for whatever that may be worth) are in green. Does anyone out there have any clue as to how to resolve this? Again, WMP plays this just fine - same exact computer, same exact URL, etc.

This URL works in WMP, but when I tried to open this stream in VLC, nothing happens - sorry for the huge log output, but I have no idea how to separate the wheat from the chaff apropos the messages VLC gave me. Errors are in red, warnings in blue, and things that I found interesting or odd (for whatever that may be worth) are in green. Does anyone out there have any clue as to how to resolve this? Again, WMP plays this just fine - same exact computer, same exact URL, etc.
