Automatic bookmarks?

I used to use PowerDVD, but I switched to VLC some time ago. (VLC is vastly superior aside from this one issue.) One of the most convenient things about PowerDVD is that when I exited and came back, it would start up where I left off. I like to have Seinfeld on once in awhile and it's really nice to be able to just leave and come back later Is there any way to get VLC to automatically bookmark and start up in the same place I left off? At the moment, I can't figure out how to even keep manual bookmarks from one session to another.

I agree (havent used the other program you mentioned) but i would love to be able to auto bookmark videos. A consolation would be being able to have an add-a-bookmark button on the control panel (maybe this is possible, but if so I cant find it). I use vlc on both a mac and pc, and cannot find either auto or a button option for bookmarks on either version. Other than, it is a tip top program, this would be the icing...
