How to check videos for corruption?

Postby Kinem » 04 Sep 2009 22:48

Is it possible that VLC checks videos for corruption?
I download many videos. Too much to check them manually for corruption. Therefore, I want VLC to do this for me: Just check a given video, if it is corrupted in any way. It would be great if it would do this as fast as possible and not just in real time.
Essentially, I want:
* Don't play sound
* Don't show video
* Play as fast as possible
* On first corruption: exit with an error message or exit code indicating the corruption

Can you help me, please?
