PLAYING AUDIO FILES

Hi
I recently installed VideoLAN on my PC laptop. A friend set it up and it is a default media player.
I have been trying to play an audio file from a radio station online archive and which I click on the file's link VLAN tried to open it, but I get an error message :
Your input can't be opened:
VLC is unable to open the MRL 'mms://204.61.215.51/rnz/art/art-20090816-1249-Graeme_Mason-048.mp3'. Check the log for details.
Any suggestions? Do I need to change my audio default settings on VLAN so I can play this file in itunes?
