How do i play my torrent movies using vlc media player?

After i download then. I right click on it from the desktop and choose "play using vlc player" but then i have to go in and add it to my playlist and other crap. What is the correct way to do it?

What OS are you using? You should be able to just open VLC up, go to "Media >> Open File" etc. and open it that way too.
