I've been trying to play a DVD using VLC 1.0.1 on my MacBook (10.5.7, Intel). The main menu loads normally, but when I go into scene selection or bonus features the screen turns all white. When I 'mouse over' where the scene choices should be I get the orange highlight that would normally go around the thumbnail, but the background and inside are still white. I tried this on my Vista (SP2) machine and found that it displayed normally, but that I was running 0.9.9. After an update to 1.0.1, the images failed to load on Windows as well. I installed 0.9.8 on my mac and the DVD loads normally. So something must have changed between 0.9.9 and 1.0.1 to cause this.
The DVD in question is 'Back to the Future' (A good choice, I'm sure you'll agree) but this has also happened with others, including the 'Bourne' trilogy. All the discs are region 2, but I don't think this can be the issue as the actual movies all play normally and without problem. The program does not crash, and when I select a scene it plays properly, I just can't see which scene I'm selecting!
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks.
