How to re-associate file extensions LATER to VLC?

For questions and discussion that is NOT (I repeat NOT) specific to a certain Operating System.

How to re-associate file extensions LATER to VLC?

Postby thoste » 12 Jul 2009 16:49

Is there a way to (re-)associate file extensions later (=not during installation) to vlc?

So that a double click on e.g. an *.avi file automatically loads this file into and starts display in VLC?

I expected an option for that but did not found it in VCL v1.0

Is it somewhere hidden?
