socks proxy

Is it possible to use a socks proxy in vlc?!?
I saw the option for http proxy....
Does a socks proxy also let connect via UDP?!?

socks proxy support has been added in the development release. I do not however know if socks proxy supports udp

Wow great news!!!
I'll try immediatly a nightly build!!!
I've looked for change log and release notes but I found no information
about socks proxy.
Do you know the syntax for using this new feature?!?

Now I see only a grey screen...
I'll investigate on it, maybe I'll try with another build
