Beta Version?

Hi All,

My network admin at work is reluctant to install VLC because he says it's in Beta release. I can't find this mentioned anywhere on the site but assume it's because the version number is less than 1?

Can anyone confirm for me if it's in beta or not?

I have been using it for years with no problems, but it's no use arguing with the network admin anymore...

If your network admin truly thinks something is beta because the number is under 1.0, then your organization desperately needs a new network admin. Also, remind him how long gmail and other google products are in beta generally.
