Is it possible to pause subtitles?

Ok here's the problem. Often times when watching anime for example there are situations where there's a lot of dialog and thus the subs go faster than I can read. What I usually do is hit pause so I have time to read all. The problem is that with subtitles that are not in the video itself, the subs won't stay on the screen when pausing the video. So is it either possible to make it so that also the subs are paused, or at least increase the time that they stay on when the video is paused?

yeah, this should be investigated before the next release
