Hi,

MKV and 3GP file formats are not working with vlc player.

Moved to General VLC media player Troubleshooting.

What VLC version etc.? Try deleting preferences and cache file (search forum for how) and try them again.

edit: deleted a very long, and detailed post about Matroska because I was accidentally trying to open incomplete torrent files in a different directory >.<
