How can I localize VLC Player?

For questions and discussion that is NOT (I repeat NOT) specific to a certain Operating System.

How can I localize VLC Player?

Postby billandy » 06 Jan 2004 03:08

I've localized the 3 files in the content folder to Simplified Chinese. But when I open the VLC Player, the interface is still English. Could anyone tell what should I do now?

p.s. The VLC Ver. is 0.7.0

Not sure what you did exactly.

If you want to translate VLC, have a look at the README file in the following package: http://download.videolan.org/pub/videol ... 7.0.tar.gz

Basically you'll have to create a zh_CN.po file for Chinese simplified.

If you are really serious about creating a new translations for Chinese simplified, just tell us, we'll give you a blank zh_CN.po file for you to work on.
