Proper Package for RH8

I am trying to set up VLC 0.7.0 for Red Hat 8. A couple of questions:
Is this the right package? I can't find anything specific to guide me here.
I am getting messages telling me I need libXv.so.1 and xloadimage. I can't locate these to set them up. Where can I get them?
