Playing movies with no gaps

Postby bongo » 27 May 2009 08:53

Hi,

Can VLC run a playlist of videos - for example, let's say 1 hour of music videos - and play them one after the other, with no gaps, and without minimizing the window - so the only thing that is seen in between videos is a brief black screen. You know how mp3 players can be set to 0.5 second gap, in between the tracks, can the same be done with VLC and videos?

Just to give you an idea of what I want to use this for is that I'm preparing a restaurant/bar to play music videos, one after the other, but obviously without any gaps and without any noticeable change in between songs to the user that this is being run off a Mac.

Can someone please advice if this is possible with VLC, and if not, what would be a suitable player?

REALLY appreciate any help on this one!

Try VLC 1.0.0-rc2 for that.
