Dunno if I always missed this shortcut or if a new feature appeared in latest VLC releases... anyway, finally I've got the NEXT FRAME shortcut!

Sometimes I scrub movie by one frame per time and this shortcut is a must to me.
Now, is there a PREVIOUS FRAME shortcut or is it possible to define a shortcut for it?
I'm not finding the PREVIOUS FRAME feature anywhere...

There is no such shortcut.

Thanks for your reply Jean.
Do you think is there any chance we could see this option in a next release?

I doubt it.

I too would be very interested in a previous frame hotkey.
Is there a git commit you could point me to related to the "next frame" hotkey? If so, I would be willing to try to write a patch for a "previous frame" hotkey.

This is not going to happen. We don't want to add a feature that will require a super-computer to use. There's really efficient way to go to the previous frame in a generic fashion.
