Hi Guys,

I have searched the forum, but I can't find answers. Perhaps someone can help me here.

I can't get the output of VLC to come out of my external soundcard: Allen & Heath Xone 4D

It is a 10 in - 10 out soundcard.

Mac OSX 10.5.6, Macbook Pro 2,33 Ghz and Mac Pro 2,26 Ghz.

I can select the soundcard in the filemenu/ audio/ audio device, but I can't hear anything.

I read in the manual that I have to set my Mac Audio settings to Multichannel,

but the driver of the Xoen does not allow me to do so..

Do I have to set some sort of auhal? Device ID?

Can somebody point me in the right direction?

It's the only thing that does not work on my Macs..

Tnx.

Marc

My mac runs into the same problem
MacBookPro2,2 Intel Core 2 Duo OS X 10.5.8

I'm using a Xone 2d, which is the sound card and midi controller, without the mixer, of a Xone 4D

[Edit} I should also mention the device is listed and silent in vlc 1.0.x; since installing 1.1.x it no longer shows up and simply plays out of the default audio
