i have a file where the sound disappears when i fast forward

info that might be helpful:

version of vlc: 0.8.0

sound codec according to gspot: 0x0055(MP3, ISO) MPEG-1 Layer 3
44100Hz 160 kb/s total (2 chnls)

video codec according to gspot: DivX 5.0

it works perfectly in wmp

any more info needed?
anybody want me to ul the file? it's a 700 file with concert clips

did you try 0.8.1? Also, do the sound reappear after normal playback is resumed?

i've now installed 0.8.1 and the problem persists. also i saw that when i press pause the sound continues to play
