separate controls on dual screen

Postby connexor » 15 Apr 2009 09:16

I wish to use my laptop to replay a number of short video segments.

Is it possible to have the video output full screen to the external monitor output while keeping the controls on the main laptop screen?

VLC version is 0.9.9
OS is XP PRO. Laptop is Toshiba satellite U300.

Thanks

Yes this is easily possible.

Go Tools -> preferences
Under the interface settings is interface type you need to untick the integrate video interface option. This makes the video appear in its own window. Allowing what you require.

Alternatively you can use the show controller in fullscreen option as well. The only downside to this is you may not be able to control which screen it gets displayed on.

Thankyou
Worked beautifully.
However I found I had to close the program and re start it for this to take effect.
