How to open the mpeg-4 stream in Windows Media Player?

Postby perica » 23 Nov 2004 13:01

Hi!

OS:SuSE 9.1
VLC:0.8.0
I open the mjpeg stream over the http, transcode it to mp4v and stream further. In this case I can open it in the VLC client for windows and type of codec is mp4v.
In the case when the transport protocol is mmsh with the same parameters type of codec is MP4S. Any clue why?
Is it possible to open the mpeg-4 stream in the Windows Media Player?
I have installed mpeg-4 video codec?
The command I use us the following:
./vlc -vvv http://158.226.226.xx/axis-cgi/mjpg/vid ... on=320x240 :sout='#transcode{vcodec=mp4v,vb=768,scale=1}:duplicate{dst=std{access=http,mux=ts,url=192.168.0.220:8080}}' --sout-keep --repeat
