Lines during playback of certain DVDs.

Hello,

I've been using VLC to play DVDs for a long time and I've noticed that most DVDs play fine, but a select few show strange lines during playback. It's still possible to watch them, but it is quite an annoyance. Forgive my lack of technical knowledge, but I believe that it has something to do with interlacing. Here are two screen shots that show the problem:

The three DVDs that I have had this problem with are Sin City, Burn After Reading, and Dances With Wolves. I've tried playing directly from the DVD, playing directly from the VIDEO_TS folder after ripping using DVD Shrink, and playing from the .iso file ripped from DVD Shrink and the same problem occurs in all three instances. I've used the latest stable build and nightly build on Windows 7 and the latest build on Mac OS X 10.5 which leads me to believe that it is a problem with VLC. I've done a lot of searches regarding the problem and have found that changing the video output to DirectX 3D should have fixed the problem, but that didn't do anything. This issue is driving me crazy, and I would really appreciate it if I could get some help. Thank you very much.

Sincerely,
Jokchan

Try to Deinterlace.
