no audio

I have had an audio problem for quite some time. I waited to see if the new release would take care of it...but...NOPE!

I am running XP Professional btw.

Everytime I attempt to view a divX (avi) I get great picture but no audio. I have tried to tinker with the audio settings...to no avail.

If you ave a fix for this or need more info, please let me know.

If it only happens with some files than it is likely an audio codec that vlc doesn't support.
Otherwise, first try to update the drivers for your soundcard. If it still doesn't work, try to select the "waveOut" audio output plugin in vlc's preferences.
