"nothing to play" when using NSC

Postby adamstein » 10 Mar 2009 15:07

Looked all over and the closest I could find was a discussion on the 'Windows Troubleshooting' forum (last message dated April 2008).

Running VLC v0.8.7 on a Fedora 8 system. Trying to play a NSC format video. VLC opens the file and decodes the NSC information correctly, but then closes the stream immediately after (main input debug: EOF reached).

The 'Multicast Adaptor' is set to an IP address inside my company's firewall. The 'IP Address' is set to an IP address outside my company's firewall. What IP address is VLC trying to connect to, 'Multicast Adaptor' or 'IP Address'?

Tried using --http-proxy, but it had no effect.

Anybody have thoughts I would I might try next?

Fedora 8 is EOL, please report the issue on bugzilla.rpmfusion.org If you can reproduce the problem with newer version.
