i didnt found a search on this page, so i just make a new topic…
how long will it take, till VLC subborts WMV3??
i hate that "bug"…

I've got ~3Gb movie written on dvd with that codec that i'd like to see some day. At this moment there's no way you can see wmv3 coded video on mac. ( i think )

There is no open-source decoder for WMV3 at the moment. We can only support it, if one gets written. Since nobody we do know of works on this issue at the moment, we cannot estimate when it will be available. At present (starting with 0.8.0), you can only play WMV3 files under Windows, because VLC is able to link to a Microsoft framework (which is Win32 only). Please don't think that a solution to this problem will exist in the upcoming months.
