problems with streaming

hi everyone im a noob to using this kind of software and wondering if any one could help me.im having a problem streaming live sopcast streaming to my xbox 360,using vlc and tversity?the stream starts off ok on vlc then at random times will just stop saying streaming in bottom left of the vlc media bar and stream to my tv stops?? any help would be greatly appreciated
