Canon HF10 file troubles

Postby gaatvr » 19 Feb 2009 02:07

I recently purchased a Canon HF10 and recorded my first hd video clips. I downloaded the software onto my pc that was included with the cam and loaded all the files onto my pc.

This is where it gets crazy. I need to send the files to my edit peeps by dropping onto our ftp. Why did it take 25 minutes to unload into my pc but its saying 22 days to get onto my ftp?

Is there a way to convert to a more managable file without breaking the bank? I have a mac but it wont even recognize the camera. I have to update my op sys and get newest form of imovie.. thats another $250. Seems i keep dishin out cash for this HD thing...

HELP PLEASE.

Can you play the file on VLC?
