crappy video quality in 0.9.8a

Here is a screenshot made in 0.9.8a



and here is (almost) the same screenshot made in 0.8.6i



Windows, directX (tried changing output to openGL or video memory - same result), video is VBR H.264/MPEG-4 AVC, other players e.g. mplayer show video of same the quality as 0.8.6. So... it is not only the interface that is ruined in newer versions, but video quality as well?

I've figured it out, the advice given as a sticky topic in this very forum - here viewtopic.php?f=2&t=42328&start=0 - is not a good advice at all. Setting 'skip loop filter for H.264' to none dramatically improved video quality in 0.9.8a
