Used VLC earlier tonight (have used it for years) on my new laptop and it worked great. Now all files (avi) that I open have only audio and no video. I reinstalled and the same thing is still happening. What to do?

Reset preferences and cache.

When I rebooted my computer this Am it was working again, strange?
