Screen saver keeps coming on

Postby Chief Blank » 16 Nov 2004 03:02

I've just installed VLC 0.8.1 and I have a problem, when I play a movie my screensaver still comes on. This never used to happen when I had 0.7.2 installed.
So is there a way to disable the screen saver while a video is playing?

Same here, it was fine up to version 0.8.0, now my screensaver comes up at its scheduled time. A bug or a dumb oversight ?
Also, what's up with Extended GUI not staying with the settings I put every time I start?

I have the same annoying matter: screensaver starts while movie playing...
The only solution I found is to disable the screensaver. :?

this is a known problem and will be fixed in future releases (if win developers find where it comes from)

technotrone: It's currently not possible to have extended gui start enabled. That will be included in next release.

OK, we will wait for the next version. It worked well with the 0.7.x, by the way. The problem is new with the 0.8.x version.
Good luck !

Could it come from the graphic card driver ? I'm using a GeForce 4...
