Problems when skipping though videos

Hi there,

I recently upgraded to the latest version of the VideoLAN player and have noticed im having some problems. If i have a video file downloading (using Firefox)and want to view it whilst downloading I could do so using VLC player. Since upgrading when i try to do this and try to skip through the video it does not skip to the point in the video i click on (in the timeline bar along the bottom) sometimes it goes half way and others it goes right to the end. I cannot remember which version I had previously but I know it did look slightly different from the current version (volume bar was black) i am happy to go back to the older version I just dont know which one it was!
