help install vlc mandrake

hey,
I'm new with videolan && mandrake. I want to install vlc in order to use it to stream from a PCTV.
It is written in the HOW TO that for doing this, it si necessary to add
--enable-v4l to ./configure
Or, for mandrake, the installation is done with
# urpmi libdvdcss2 libdvdplay0 wxvlc vlc-plugin-a52 vlc-plugin-ogg vlc-plugin-mad
How can I make the 2 compatible?

If anyone has put vlc on mandrake or/and knows hot to do this, please help me.

Compile it by hand instead of using binaries.
