HDTV .m2t file jerky on MAC but not PC

I recently installed the AVX1 and am able to generate 1920x1080i full bitrate HDTV .m2t streams from my HD300.

Using VLC to play back from my MAC 933 MHz MAC is jerky with this stream. Yet when I play back using my 3GHz Pentium, all is well. Any comments related towards the enabling of my current mac to play these files properly would be appreciated.

making the mac run at 3GHz would sure help. This is simply a matter of math.

Yea, DUH, except that the G4 is a 64 bit processor and should work correctly. Having to go to a 3GHZ windows box is painful at best. Question is how fast does the G4 have to be? I am confident that 3GHz is not the answer, and confident that the decoders in VLC could be improved to run faster.

ehm the G4 is not a 64 bit processor...
and i think 1200 Mhz G4 should be enough for this..
Or use Video->Deinterlace-Discard
You will loose some resolution, but it will take less CPU.
