Blue Windows tool bar appears....

The blue Windows tool bar keeps popping up while I'm using VLC to view my AVI files, until I installed this latest version I've never had this happen in all the years I've been using and re-installing VLC.
When this occurs the tool bar tag for VLC changes to 'VLC (hardware YUV overlay Direct X output)'.

It even happened after I re-installed version 8.6 last week after getting tired of this problem.
This being so I guess this latest version has left behind some files which are informing whatever version of VLC I install.

It perhaps sounds like a small problem, but (combined with the freezing issues I've talked about in another stream) its got me looking for alternatives to VLC for the first time in 3 years, as it ruins my little world when I'm reminded that I'm not in my movie but watching it on my computer.

I'm not able to provide any extra, technical info, as I simply don't have those skills.

What do you guys think, suggest, I'm certain I'm not the only one this is happening to.... ;)

What are you talking about? Are you sure you installed correctly vlc latest and reset your preferences and cache. Because "VLC (hardware YUV overlay Direct X output)'" doesn't look like you did.

I installed VLC as I always have done, un-install the previous version and install the new with out changing any presets etc.

This issue combined with the awful delay, pixilation, freezing, etc that are happening these days (I'm not alone here) mean that after 3 years I've quit using VLC and moved to the K-Lite codec pack and player.
Bye for now VLC.

DUH,
I've already explained myself to the best of my ability.
Why (forom reading other posts too) do you need such technical data as most VLC users are unable to provide?
I/ we don't have the tech savvy to give you anything more than we have already posted!
Get the message!
VLC now has some awful, stupid errors which are turning longtime users OFF, we are infuriated, irritated and at a loss.
So we STOP using VLC.
Do something whilst you still have a product anybody wants, because with the attitude you're displaying it won't be long before nobody wants VLC.

Well, sorry, but you obviously, don't give screenshot, don't post messages, don't answer to my question.

Especially since you are speaking of a "VLC (hardware YUV overlay Direct X output)", that can only happen if you have changed the preferences or if you don't use an official release.
