Dual Monitor Playing

First Thanks for reading this im new to these forums and i appreciate your time.
Ok I will try to explain this as best as i can
I have a whole bunch of AVI's that i like to watch while i play video games. I have one 24" benq Monitor and another 17" (which i play the video's on).
There are a few problems with this:
1.(while not playing a game on my main 24" monitor ) I can drag the movies into my 17" monitor and maximize the video's so they take up almost all of the screen (by almost i mean i can still see the light menu bars above and below) they play fine until the end of the clip. When its time for the next video to play the screen will shrink back to its smaller view to which i just maximize it again.
2. However if i am playing a video game like WoW for instance i can begin to play a clip then run the game. Similar problem when the clip is finished it shrinks and i get an overlay of the video on my main 24" monitor. The 24" will flicker then the video will crash.
3. Just normally if i drag the video into my 17" monitor and double click the screen to maximize and hide the menu's the video will then jump to my 24" monitor and black out my 17" monitor.
Its odd, i work with some technicians at work and they have no clue.
Video drivers are up to date Ive set up all the resolutions to be the same as their physical resolutions. I'm not sure what to make of it.
Thank you for your time
