The new Centropy release of The Incredibles is an AVG update file and it will only play the first 56 seconds of the film. I downloaded version 0.7.2 and this DOES work.

And what the remark was intended to show was that we can't fix things that we do not have access to. Upload a sample somewhere (like our streams server) as denounced in our
http://www.videolan.org/support/bug-reporting.html bugreporting page, or fix it yourself. Or at least provide any form of debug output. We can't work magic.
It's not that i personally don't know where to find this movie, it's more that
1: it's illegal for us to download those movies
2: not everyone uses eMule and other P2P applications
3: I and other developers don't have much time and that if everyone just cooperated a bit on this level, we would have a lot more time for bugfixing on our hands.

AVG is an anti-virus program but it uses the .bin extension for its update files. Thus, on a PC with AVG installed .bin files will appear as “AVG update” files. If the file really is an AVG file, VLC will not play it (which should be obvious).
