Opening a video stream?

Postby dcx_badass » 12 Jan 2009 12:06

I've never ever managed to get this to work in VLC, in WMP I just do open rul and paste the link and it works, In VLC I do open network, paste the link and click go and it thinks about it then fails, every single time without fail, even when the same link works in WMP.

For example how would I open this in VLC:
http://www.presstv.ir/watch_live5_us.aspx

Fails for me, works in WMP any ideas?

Thanks.

To fix this, please be sure before you start the playback to:
  1. Open: Tools -> Messages.
  2. Set Verbosity to 2

  5. Then paste the full resulting log here between [code]and[/code] (or use Pastebin.com if it's too long)
Also don't forget to name your Operating System and provide the VLC media player version.
