playing file wile recording it

Hi,

I use VLC to watch TV recordings from my dreambox. (Dreambox is a Linux PVR which can stream it's recordings through HTTP.)

My problem is: When I watch a file WHILE is it recorded, VLC plays only the part that existed when playback started.

So, when recording began at 8.15, and I start playback at 8.20, it stops after 5 minutes. When I start it again at 8.27, it stops after the 12th minute.

I think that it worked some time ago with older versions of Dreambox firmware and VLC, but I don't remember exactly. I also don't know if the problem is caused by Dreambox or VLC.

Is there an option in VLC that could help? Like "check file size again before stopping playback" or something like that?
