extended GUI question

Postby zenaku » 08 Nov 2004 14:25

is it possible to always show the extended GUI whenever VLC opens? whenever i open a new file, i have to re-open the extended GUI. its not really a major issue or anything, im just curious if its possible to keep that setting.

Absolutely it should've been implemented. This way everything has to be setup again each time I play a file. Unless this can be done via some .ini file?

You need to check the "Show advanced options" (in German "Erweiterte Optionen anzeigen") option of the "Interface"-section and restart VLC.

Correct. there is a difference between saving advanced GUI options, and having the advanced GUI options open at startup. A difference which got lost somewhere along the thread.

It is NOT possible to open the Advanced GUI at startup everytime.
It IS possible to have the Advanced GUI settings enabled at startup everytime.

I see other people asking same question w/out doing a search on threads.
So no takes on the issue, or it's just not yet possible ?
