PROBLEM WITH CLOSING VIDEO WINDOWS AFTER EVERY PLAYED VIDEO

Hello, I have a question, we have couple of computers with paldo GNU distro and VLC media player
we play 24hour playlist with houndreds of different videos, all in mpeg or m2p.
Problem is that we dont want to close vlc window after every played video. It works fine
with 0.8.6 janus but newer version 0.9.8 does what we dont need, it closes video window
so desktop, mouse and minimized VLC is always there for couple of milisecs.
can anybody help?
paldo offers only 0.9.8 vlc repos so we cant solve it, only by recompiling older vlc
i was thinking if there is any option of vlc to solve this
