Setting Media Library location http interface

Postby bhelx » 20 Nov 2008 04:08

Hello all,

I have what seems to be a very easy question but I could not find the answer anywhere in the docs, wiki, or forum. I am not sure if it matters, but I am running an Intel system, Ubuntu 8.10, and VLC 0.9.4. My question is this:

I am logging into my ubuntu system from a laptop over ssh and running VLC with the HTTP interface like so:

Code: Select all

$vlc -I http
I have edited the .hosts file and it works just fine. My problem is that I cannot find a way to set the location for the "Media Library". Does anyone know how to do this? I would rather not have the whole thing in a playlist. I would like to just fire it up and choose the movie from the Media Library section from my browser interface.
