GPL concerns

Hi

When integrating LibVLC into a project which is built using a visual programming framework like virtools (http://www.virtools.com/), this leads of course to the project being under GPL. But actually one has to first integrate LibVLC into Virtools to be able to use it in the project. Allowed?

Cheers

Please detail. :D

I am going to make it easier for you. If compiling a C/C++ project needs vlc headers, then there are very strong chances that the project should be GPL.

yes it needs vlc headers

the question was more, could the virtools framework (which is proprietary) be a problem?

cheers

I don't know what those tools are. But if you need VLC to compile the tools, you are in trouble.

You cannot link non-GPL programs with LibVLC, unless you keep the result for your private use.
