Changing video title in menu bar

Evening. I've been looking at the command line parameters, trying to find a way of changing the text in the menu bar. I have already set

Code: Select all

--qt-display-mode=2
To remove most of the clutter, but my MRL is very long and I'd like to hide it in the bar at the top of the window. Any ideas?

Cheers,

Ben

I don't understand what you are trying to achieve exactly...

At the top of the VLC video window you have the bar that gives the name of the file being played, along with the name VLC. This is the same bar that contains the minimize / maximize buttons etc.

My file name is very long, and my window very small, so only part of the text is visible. I was wondering if I could hide this text, or at least replace the file name part...

Cheers,

Ben

Thanks - I have just found the relevant parameter in the Wiki:

Code: Select all

--no-qt-name-in-title
