Want to capture a still picture

Postby Lea724 » 23 Oct 2004 16:12

Hi,

I downloaded VLC media player because it was recommended to me to play .avi files. However, I'd like to be able to pause the .avi file and capture the image that's paused. I can't find an option for that with the player, and when I pause it and then do Print Screen, then paste into an image program, all I get is a black image.

Can anyone help?

Thanks in advance,

Amanda

Try the forum search option -- this is a VERY common question.

Open Settings -- Preferences, check "Advanced options". On the left, open General Settings -- Video. Clear the "Overlay video" box on the right half of the window.

Thank you so much. I had done some searching, but everything I had found was related to streaming, which I know *nothing* about, and therefore, didn't know how to manipulate. Thank you again for your help. Your advice has just made my day. :)
