VLC 0.9.2 - sound problem with 5.1 + equalizer (MKV)

Hello.
I have a problem with playing MKV video files. I have 5.1 sound in this file and I'm using equalizer to get louder sound from my notebook. I have stereo output (also set in VLC) and with equalizer module a can't hear some audio channels (like when I let "Audio device" on "5.1"). I can hear other channels (typically speaking text in the movie) when I disable equalizer module. Also I have no problem with 0.8.6i version of VLC (with equalizer enabled). Is it a bug in new version or am I doing something wrong ? I have windows XP system (32 bit), Intel centrino duo (1,83 GHz) notebook with 512 MB RAM.
