Flash(1MB)/VLC(??)

Hi guys
we are a bunch of college grads deciding to start a small video site to our students and professors to share "Technical articles,know-how,Do it your self,& assignments " and other related stuff.First all the guys decided to use Adobe's flash plugin,but I convinced them to use VLC player plugin,but on restrictions they agreed to install it,if the plugin is very,very small in size comparable to "FLASH" and no need of desktop player too.
We just need these codecs support in the browsers,
Video:H.264
Audio:AAC
So, I've to eliminate all the other stuff in the plugin and need to drastically reduce in size.
Please help us
