Hello, I am SangHoon Park in Korea
I am trying to capture live stream using JVC camcoder and vlc-0.8.0-test2.
However, vlc is crushed when I select "open capture device" menu.
In 0.7.2, there is a no problem and well displayed.
Is there anyone find these kinds of problems?

Does the problem happen when you try to view the video locally, or only if you try to stream it (to file or over the network)?

If it is the latter case (crashes when trying to stream), there was a problem with some newer ffmpeg libraries, they did not work properly with high-resolution directshow inputs. I compiled the latest VLC software, with an older library, and it works (at least with my card). The developers know of this particular problem (what I described), and how to correct it.
