mkv and vorbis audio problem

Using 0.9.2 on windows and on SuSE Linux, which was installed from the VLC ftp server. On Linux, if I play a file I encoded with mkv, the video which is x264 plays fine, but the audio will not, with the error "No suitable decoder module:
VLC does not support the audio or video format "undf". Unfortunately there is no way for you to fix this." Under codec information, it says under Stream 1 that the codec is "undf" and the language is blank, with no vorbis comment.
But the same file under Windows plays fine with it detecting the codec properly as vorb, and then says after that, the vorbis comment with the encoder as avidemux2.
If I play a file with the same codecs but using a OGM container, it detects fine on either OS.
I find it weird that the Linux version has an issue with mkv and Windows doesn't but whatever. The same file plays fine with mplayer.
