Minimal View Resize

Postby e1ace » 19 Sep 2008 10:38

When changing to the whole minimal view (ctrl H), i dont think the whole player should resize to the actual size. instead whatever size you had it at it should just full up that space. when watching high res stuff and switching between minimal and normal view it is a hack to to constantly bring the player back into view and make it smaller...

Just a thought.

(loving 0.92 btw)

Can you be more verbose, please ?

The issue is that when you switch, it does resize to the 1:1 size of the playing video?

yeah so basically when i switch it goes back to the default size and default placement. what i would think it would do is keep its horizontal size and simply resize the vertical scale to maintain the aspect ratio.

if the window has been resized then it has been done on purpose and thus i would think that the user likes that aspect ratio or size or even placement and thus it should not be discarded when changing to minimal view.

i use minimal view when im doing stuff in the background and i often change between the normal and minimal so im constantly resizing and changing the placement.

sorry to be repetitive, im shocking at explaining things.

I also agree, it is a little annoying.

Compare it to VLC 0.8.6, Ctrl+H simply made the the control interfaces disappear, while the video took up the extra space where the control interface used to be.

Now the interface disappears, but the video also resizes to default.

Ok. Understood. Minimal View is a new feature, so, might have bugs...

Remove the interface? Duh?

What I understand is that the issue is that it will resize to normal size of video, even if you had changed the size. So it is annoying.

Right? Yes/No.

Yes.

Haha, perhaps we should stop talking. It's making everyone confused!
