Simple way to use VLC for online video presentations?

Hi all,
I just tried today the streaming functionaitly of VLC. But it seemd that it is a bit uncomfortable for the way I want to use it.
I just want a simple way to stream any video (if it is possible audio/image) file to the pc of my friend (over internet).... and the other way round.
Therefore i just want to drag and drop the file into VLC and the stream should start then, without doing evertytime the streaming configuration.
So is there an extension or a workaround to do this?
